Private 1:1 sessions with Cameron Strouss

Herb Talk

with Cameron

Pull up a chair. For one hour it's just you and me, talking through whatever you've been wanting to ask. Plants, your studies, becoming an herbalist, building an herbal business, teaching, social media. You bring the questions. I'll bring 17 years of doing this work (and all the mistakes I made along the way, so you don't have to).

You don't need another course.

Sometimes you just need a good conversation.

Every time I teach a live class or post something online, somebody slides into my DMs with the question. You know the one. The one you've been sitting on for weeks.

How do I actually become an herbalist? Which school should I pick? How do you run a business doing this without losing your mind? And sometimes it's just, "I think I want to do this for real, and I have no idea what that looks like."

Y'all, those are some of my favorite conversations. And honestly, they deserve more than a rushed DM reply at 11 pm or five minutes while I'm packing up jars after class.

So that's what Herb Talk is. No curriculum, no slides, no homework. Just an hour focused completely on you, with someone who's been growing, foraging, making medicine, teaching, and building a business around all of it here in Central Alabama for a long time.

What we can talk about

Bring whatever's on your mind

Herbalism and plants

Specific herbs, preparations, and how folk use, the Eclectics, and the research all fit together. Yes, we can nerd out on constituents.

Your herbal education

What to study next, how to choose a school, and which books are actually worth your money (and which ones can stay on the shelf).

Becoming an herbalist

Training routes, credentials like the AHG, clinical hours, and what the work really looks like day to day.

Herbal business

Products, classes, pricing, and the unglamorous parts nobody mentions. So. Many. Dishes.

Teaching

Building classes and courses, in person or online, and explaining plants in a way that actually sticks.

Social media

Growing an audience and sharing what you know online without it eating your whole life.

Health, in general terms

How herbs fit into everyday wellness, and how to think about research and safety without the internet scaring you half to death.

Your own path

A career change, a side project, or figuring out where plants fit into your life right now.

You set the agenda. Spend the whole hour on one thing or bounce all over the place. Either way works.

This is a really good fit if you're...

  • Studying on your own and want someone to help you connect the dots
  • Eyeing herbal school and want an honest take before you spend the money
  • Building (or daydreaming about) an herbal business, a class, or an online presence
  • Just plain curious, and tired of the internet telling you every plant will kill you. (I assure you, most of them won't.)

You don't need to know a lot already. Some of the best conversations start with "okay, this might be a silly question." It never is.

How it works

Booking takes about two minutes

  1. Pick your time. Choose an open slot on my calendar just below. It shows each time in your own time zone, so no time zone math required.
  2. Reserve it. Check out securely for $150. Your slot is held for 10 minutes while you do.
  3. Tell me what's on your mind. Right after checkout there's a short form about what you'd like to explore, so I can come prepared instead of winging it.
  4. Grab a cup of tea. You'll get reminders the day before and an hour before, with our Zoom link. Afterward, I'll send you the recording to rewatch for 30 days.

I only hold three Herb Talks a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 1:30 Central), and sessions need to be booked at least 48 hours ahead. If you don't see a time that works, check back. New weeks open up as the calendar rolls forward.

A quick note on boundaries

Herb Talk is an educational conversation. We can talk about plants, how they work, and how folks have used them for a very long time. If personal health questions come up, I'm happy to talk about them in general terms, but I won't be diagnosing anything or making treatment decisions with you in this format. That takes a different kind of relationship, and it doesn't replace care from your doctor.

(And for the record, I'm a pretty moderate herbalist. I will never shame you for taking the Advil.)

Questions

Good things to know

Do I need to know a lot about herbs already?
Nope! Brand-new folks and longtime students are both welcome. Bring the question you have, even if you think it's a basic one. Those are often the best ones.
Can we talk about business or social media instead of plants?
Absolutely. Plenty of folks spend the whole hour on their business, their teaching, or growing online. It's your hour.
Do I pick my time before or after paying?
Before. You choose your slot on the calendar, then check out, and Kajabi holds it for 10 minutes while you do.
What if I need to reschedule?
No problem with at least 48 hours' notice. Just reply to your confirmation email and we'll move you to a new time.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, any time before you book, or up to 48 hours before your session. Inside 48 hours I can't refund, but if a real emergency comes up, reply to your confirmation email and we'll find you a new time.
What if I miss our session?
I'll wait in our Zoom room for 15 minutes. After that, the session counts as used. But I'm a single mom, so trust me, I know stuff comes up. If you reach out within 24 hours with an emergency, I'll give you one courtesy reschedule.
Will our session be recorded?
Yes. I record every Herb Talk on Zoom and email you the recording afterward, so you can focus on the conversation instead of scribbling notes. The link works for 30 days, and the recording is deleted from my account after 60.
Can I book more than one?
Yes! Some folks like a follow-up after they've had time to percolate on what we talked about.
Is this a clinical consultation?
No. It's an educational session. See the note on boundaries above.

So yeah. Bring your questions.

Whatever's been rattling around in your head about plants, your studies, your business, or where you're headed, I'd really love to hear it. Grab your spot, pick a time that works for you, and put the kettle on. I'll see you there.
