A NOTE FROM CAMERON
So, here's a fun thing to do before we meet - go find Red Clover. Seriously. It's probably growing somewhere within walking distance of you right now if you're in the Southeast. It blooms in spring, tends to like roadsides and meadows and the edges of things, and the flowers are that distinctive little pink-purple globe shape. If you spot it, just notice it. You don't have to do anything with it yet.
There's something that shifts when you've seen a plant in person before you learn about it. It becomes real in a different way. I've been teaching herbalism for a long time and that part still holds true every single time.
If you don't find it, that's okay too. We'll cover what it looks like and by the end of the hour you'll know exactly what you're looking for.

While You're Waiting - The Foraging Journal
If you're the kind of person who wants to go out and actually document what you find. This is the companion I wish I'd had when I was starting out.
It's a field-ready journal built around how foragers actually work: plant ID guides, space to record where you found something, what season it was, what condition it was in, how you prepared it, and what happened. It's the physical version of the kind of careful attention that turns a casual walk into a real practice.
We only have a limited number of copies from this print run, so if you've been thinking about it... now's a good time.
